The Magnus Effect is actually a scientific phenomenon that has to do with the change in trajectory of a flying object due to force created by spin.

That is exactly why it is the name for this blog.  The effect of the way that you say words, or convey a message is of huge importance in todays marketing sales and customer service environment.  People want to know that they are important.  I know I would want to patronize a business or company more when that company cares about me as a person.

Most stories on The Magnus Effect will be anecdotal in nature.   For the most part I do not intend for this blog to be a rant or complaint about anything but rather sugggestions on how and why to change the language and improve a businesses service format.
